Congratulations to the boys and girls in our 4th and 5th classes on a wonderful performance in their Dublin Regional Concert organised by the National Children’s Choir in the National Basketball Arena on Wednesday 6th April. This was one of nine Dublin regional concerts staged by the National Children’s Choir at this venue between 28th March and 8th April. Our pupils joined forces with children from Carysfort N.S., Blackrock, St Canice’s G.N.S., Finglas, St. Laurence’s N.S., Greystones and Scoil Chualann, Bray, to sing an extensive repertoire of twenty songs accompanied by a sixteen piece orchestra. The concert was compered by the nationally acclaimed tenor, Emmanuel Lawler. The large audience was greatly impressed and showed their appreciation by giving the children a standing ovation and prolonged applause. Well done to the children and their teachers Mr Maughan, Ms Murphy and Ms O’Sullivan. We look forward to taking part in a gala performance in the National Concert Hall on Sunday 29th May.
